Henry Nist is a new author who has always loved writing. He started writing stories back in junior high school but waited until now to publish his first book. Henry was inspired by his love for good stories and the courage of people who lived through tough times. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran, a husband of 44 years, and the proud father of two daughters and several grandchildren.

When he’s not writing, Henry enjoys performing music and singing popular songs at local places. His life has given him many stories to tell, and his first book, My Name is Purrllee Gaytes, is full of heart, strength, and hope. Henry brings history to life in a way that feels real and personal. He hopes readers feel inspired by Purrllee’s story and looks forward to writing more in the future.
